Fat by Kate Barker

Fat – one woman looks back over the course of her plus-sized life.

Kate Barker is a Kingston writer who recently returned to playwrighting after 30 years. Her play Nutz won the People’s Preference award at Domino Theatre’s 2025 Come Play By the Lake One-Act Festival. Nutz returns this summer as a part of the TK Fringe Festival, August 6 – 16, 2026.
Fat is Kate’s first full-length play. It was recently workshopped in a course run by playwright Marcia Johnson through Toronto’s Tarragon Theatre.
